Ryan

I am not fit.

I probably am not fat either.

Most of the time I feel way closer to the latter than the former.

That is why I am dedicated to changing the way I work out.  Improving my mental toughness and bringing my physical fitness to a point where I can be proud of myself.

In highschool I was proud of my fitness.  I was exercising everyday.  I was 6'1" and 185 lbs.  I was playing rugby and hockey and therefore was exercising at least once a day, if not twice.

Then came University.  I gained atleast 15-20lbs after my first year even though I hit the gym EVERY DAY.  I just wasn't burning enough calories for what I was putting in my body, and I wasn't doing enough cardio.  My weight has yo-yo'd for the past 4 years, I got down to 190 after walking around Europe for 35 days, and reached the same weight while participating in an 'interval training' study in 2009.  However, I ballooned up to 225 this past summer.  My dedication was not there.  Despite the guidance of Michael and Andrew I could not help myself from eating horribly and exercising too infrequently.

Andrew and Matthew once laughed at me for saying "I think I missed my calling as a CFL quarterback."  I was only half joking.  I think that I have the makeup to be an athlete, the size and raw strength to build off of, but my head is weak.  So I hereby dedicate myself to OUTFITing my body.

My goal is for this blog to hold me to a higher standard of how I treat my body.
Out with the fried foods, in with the healthy eating.
More exercise, less sedentary lifestyle.

Yes.  We pull the van.
A little about myself...

I currently attend the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph and have an HBSc from the University of Western Ontario.  I studied biology.

I am a certified coach by Hockey Canada.

I believe that the Leafs can win a cup... some day.
I believe Sundays are for football.
I can't decide whether I like basketball or not.
