Michael

At first glance, I don't look like your typical fitness fanatic but let me assure you it is my life.  I don't fit the mold of your typical "fit" individual but I do my best with what I've got.  I've been big ever since I can remember and I'm continually working on looking the "fit" part although at the end of the day I know that's not the most important part.  Having said that, I bust my ass on every workout I do.  Whether it's in the gym, on the track, up the ski hill or on the field, I come to work.  One of the most memorable things said to me was from my brother. He said, "Michael, you are deceivingly fast for your size."  And I will continue to train and deceive.

The idea for this blog was tossed around between Ryan and myself.  We, along with our brothers Andrew and Matt, have been training together over the last 2 summers in a sort of "training camp" if you will.  This blog has come to fruition to, albeit selfish reasons, help us achieve our goals.  We are by no means an authority on fitness but merely individuals who know what they want and have the desire and dedication to go get it.  I encourage you to check back to the OutFit blog if you're interested in following our lifelong journey of fitness.

A little about myself...
I am a graduate from the University of Toronto Faculty of Physical Education and Health and currently attend Queen's University pursuing my Bachelor of Education to become my dream job, a High School Phys-Ed teacher.  I've worked at your local big name gym, interned at Marquette University, worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Varsity Blues Men's Basketball Team, personal trainer and everything in between.  I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and NCCP Level 1 Rugby Coach. Andrew and I are also the brothers of up and coming journalist and fashion/media expert Kristene. Check her out on http://kristenequan.tumblr.com/
